The ability to handle two 12 inch tonearms was one of the principle design parameters along with simplifying the turntable setup and alignment procedures. We also focused on the visual perspective as well with evolutionary refinements in our form factor, fit and finish and presence. We developed a much more sophisticated type of hardware and completely rewrote our software, taking multi-motor-turntable operation to a never before seen level. Not to worry though, this new technology will also be integrated into our current Woodpecker and Blackbird tables, thus elevating their performance as well.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRunning on three motors we chose the only geometrical configuration that really makes sense – the equilateral triangle. As we have already shown with the Blackbird, the positive effects of reduced drag force on the bearing is bettered by the triangle configuration as it also stabilizes the bearing\/platter assembly by cancelling out all acting forces. All tendencies of gyration are effectively eliminated. The conclusion of both papers was that such a tracking device must have an angular offset (zenith) with a defined overhang. The offset and the overhang vary with the effective length of the tonearm itself. While tracking the record the stylus matches tangential position in the groove at two points – the inner and outer Null points (linear tracking position). Don‘t overdo the tightening of the screws as really tight is followed by infinitely loose forever …\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDouble check your setup either at step 3 (inner Null-point) where the cantilever MUST fall in line with the printed line or you can alternatively check the overhang again at step 1. Both approaches are mathematical equivalent; if two points are correct, the third is correct by default. In case the cartridge still is off, then start again from the beginning by checking the overhang first and subsequently all the following steps
