The LX MKII Series is the latest in a long line of distinguished Mission loudspeakers, sitting below the multi-award-winning QX Series and the flagship ZX Series. It retains Mission's trademark Inverted Driver Geometry (IDG), which optimizes the path length between drivers so sound waves coincide at the listener's ear height for improved time alignment and transient attack — delivering astonishing detail that is unique at this price point.

Perfected over hundreds of hours of critical listening by Mission's lead acoustic designer Peter Comeau, the LX MKII draws trickle-down innovations from the revered ZX series. Improvements to the famous Mission DiaDrive bass unit give superior control of the low-frequency diaphragm, while refined high-frequency performance and a re-engineered cabinet bracing system help the LX-1 MKII outperform its price class. It is finished in a choice of Walnut Pearl, Lux White, and Lux Black, and is available in Canada through authorized Mission dealers including Vinyl Sound.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Mission LX-1 MKII?
A: The Mission LX-1 MKII is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker with a 4" (100mm) composite-fibre bass driver and a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter, sold as a pair. It uses Mission's Inverted Driver Geometry and DiaDrive bass technology for accurate, detailed sound, and is available at Vinyl Sound in Canada.

Q: Are the LX-1 MKII sold as a pair or each?
A: The Mission LX-1 MKII is sold as a pair, so a single purchase gives you both the left and right speakers for a complete stereo setup.

Q: What amplifier power do the LX-1 MKII need?
A: Mission recommends amplifiers rated between 20 and 80 watts. With a sensitivity of 86dB (2.83V @ 1m) and an 8Ω-compatible nominal impedance (4.2Ω minimum), the LX-1 MKII is easy to drive with most modern integrated amplifiers and receivers.

Q: How do the LX-1 MKII differ from the larger LX-2 MKII?
A: Both share the same LX MKII design language, Inverted Driver Geometry, and DiaDrive technology. The LX-1 MKII is the compact model with a 4" bass driver, ideal for smaller rooms, desktops, and near-field listening, while larger models in the range use bigger drivers for greater bass extension and output in larger spaces.

Q: What is Inverted Driver Geometry?
A: Inverted Driver Geometry (IDG) positions the tweeter below the bass/midrange driver so the path lengths are equalised and the sound waves arrive together at the listener's head height. This proprietary Mission principle improves time alignment and transient performance.

Q: What finishes are available?
A: The LX-1 MKII is available in Walnut Pearl, Lux White, and Lux Black matte finishes.

Q: Where can I buy the Mission LX-1 MKII in Canada?
A: The Mission LX-1 MKII is available at Vinyl Sound, an authorized Mission dealer in Canada, with Canada-wide shipping and authorized warranty support.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0116/1773/0617/files/MissionLX-1MKII4BookshelfSpeakers_Pair.png?v=1792038509
