The Spin-Clean Record Washer is a renowned manual vinyl record cleaner that cleans both sides of a record at once. You fill the basin with water and Spin-Clean Washer Fluid, set the record between two brushes, and spin it a few turns by hand. The alcohol-free solution lifts dirt and grime from the grooves and deposits it safely at the bottom of the basin, protecting your vinyl and stylus while restoring clean, quiet playback.
Fill the Spin-Clean basin to the marked line with distilled water, add a capful of Spin-Clean Washer Fluid, and fit the brushes and rollers for your record size. Place the record into the basin so both sides sit against the brushes, then rotate it by hand three to four turns in each direction. Lift the record out and dry it with a Spin-Clean microfiber cloth. This wet-clean method is one of the simplest and most effective ways to clean vinyl records at home.
A dry cloth only pushes surface dust around and can scratch the record, and pure water alone does not lift embedded grime. The Spin-Clean method uses distilled water with its alcohol-free Washer Fluid, which safely emulsifies dirt without the risk that alcohol-based cleaners pose to some records. Using the proper fluid with the brushes gives a far deeper, safer clean than a cloth or water on its own, then a microfiber drying cloth finishes the job.
The Spin-Clean Record Washer MKII is a complete record cleaning kit that includes the basin, a pair of brushes, rollers, Washer Fluid and drying cloths, so you have everything needed to start cleaning right away. It is an ideal all-in-one system for a record collection of any size, and a great gift for a vinyl listener. Available at Vinyl Sound with Canada-wide shipping.
Spin-Clean Washer Fluid is the alcohol-free concentrate that makes the system work, safely emulsifying dirt so it settles in the basin instead of returning to your records. It is sold as a concentrate in 8, 16 and 32 ounce bottles, and a little makes many cleanings, so it is an economical ongoing consumable. Using the proper fluid rather than water alone is what gives the Spin-Clean its deep, safe clean.
Spin-Clean DiscMist is an optical disc cleaner for CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays, available in 2, 4 and 8 ounce bottles. It removes dust, fingerprints and smudges that can cause skipping or read errors, helping your discs play cleanly and last longer. It is a handy companion to the Record Washer for listeners who keep both vinyl and disc collections, and is in stock at Vinyl Sound with Canada-wide shipping.
