The E1 and several other models include a switchable built-in phono preamp so you can connect straight to a line-level input, while models like the Debut Carbon EVO and higher are output-only and need an external phono stage such as one from the Phono Box range, or an amplifier with a phono input. Does the Debut Carbon EVO need anything removed before first use?
Most Pro-Ject models ship with the drive belt not yet placed on the motor pulley and some packaging supporting the tonearm and platter for transit. Always follow the included quick-start guide to fit the belt, remove transit packaging, and balance the tonearm before your first play.
Can I connect a Pro-Ject turntable to Bluetooth speakers, Sonos, or a streaming system?
