Product Details
Synergistic Research GCT
The GCT (Ground Circuit Transducer) is a small tuning device designed to address grounding noise at the circuit level inside audio components — a variation of Synergistic Research's ECT. It's placed directly at a grounding point within a component or circuit, and can provide a further improvement even in systems already using a Ground Block. GCTs can also be applied to or near a component's fuse holder, including at the IEC inlet, to the same effect. One GCT per component is generally recommended. As an authorized Synergistic Research dealer in Toronto, Canada, Vinyl Sound can help you identify the best placement points in your specific components.

GCT FAQ
Where do I place a GCT?
Common placement points include fuses, IEC grounds, chassis grounds, PCB ground traces, star grounds, and ground posts — wherever a grounding point exists in the component.
How many GCTs do I need per component?
Synergistic Research recommends one GCT per component. A 3-pack is available for treating multiple components at once.
Do I still need a GCT if I already use a Ground Block?
Yes — Synergistic Research states GCTs can provide a further improvement even in systems already using an Active or Passive Ground Block, since they address noise at the individual circuit/component level rather than the system-wide ground.
