Sound-first design and craftsmanship

The CNC-machined plinth uses no plastic and is carefully manufactured to eliminate resonant hollow spaces that would otherwise detract from sound quality. A heavy 1.3 kg steel platter with felt mat provides a non-resonant surface, and purpose-selected vibration-absorbing feet isolate the T1 EVO from ambient vibration around your hi-fi system. Sound-first principles are implemented throughout.

Audiophile drive system

The belt-driven motor turns a larger, Debut-sized sub-platter running in a bearing assembly machined to tolerances within 0.001 mm, comprising a stainless steel spindle in a brass bushing. This ensures stable, accurate platter speeds with non-resonant behaviour, allowing the tonearm and cartridge to perform their very best.

One-piece aluminium tonearm

The 8.6-inch tonearm is a complete one-piece aluminium design with an integrated headshell for maximum rigidity and resonance control, a real improvement over detachable, screwed-on, or glued-on headshells. Low-friction, high-quality bearings give silent, frictionless motion. The cartridge is aligned, tracking force is set, and anti-skating is built in at the factory, sparing you the trickiest parts of setup so you can be spinning vinyl in minutes.

The T1 EVO comes with Pro-Ject's super-shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance phono cable, purpose-designed for turntables rather than an off-the-shelf RCA cable, and an elegant dustcover with adjustable hinges.
