The Adcom GFA-585se is a high-performance stereo power amplifier built to deliver authority, precision, and musical transparency in equal measure. A pure Class A/B design with parallel-driven topology, it delivers 450 watts per channel into 8 ohms — and the ability to drive speaker loads all the way down to 2 ohms with complete stability and composure.

Every component inside the GFA-585se was put under the microscope during development — refined and upgraded to create a more capable, more revealing version of an already respected amplifier. The result is lower distortion, better dynamic range, improved damping factor, and greater stability and separation of individual instruments across the soundstage. Ultra-low ESR electrolytic capacitors and UL-approved FR-4 printed circuit boards reflect the same uncompromising approach applied throughout.

At the core of the GFA-585se's power delivery are 14 pairs of TO-3-type metal-cased bipolar output transistors per channel, arranged in a triple-Darlington configuration. This topology ensures very efficient power delivery to reactive loads — regardless of the phase angle between voltage and current — making the GFA-585se one of the most speaker-friendly high-power amplifiers available at any price.
