The Red4 features a bonded elliptical diamond mounted to an aluminum cantilever for effective groove contact, reliable tracking, and a stable, controlled presentation across many recordings. Like all Grado cartridges, it uses Joseph Grado's patented flux-bridger moving iron principle, generating a precise signal with extremely low moving mass while keeping the coil structure fixed, for speed, control, and harmonic integrity without the fragility of many moving coil designs.
