Product Details
Synergistic Research Ethernet Switch UEF MkII
Ethernet Switch UEF MkII builds on Synergistic Research's original UEF Ethernet Switch with innovations first developed for the company's flagship Voodoo server and PowerCell SRX line conditioner. It houses next-generation Electromagnetic Cells (EM Cells) — the first re-engineering of this technology since Synergistic Research's original patent — to selectively filter high-frequency noise from incoming AC power and the digital signal path, along with a new Ultra Low Frequency (ULF) Biasing system and an updated linear power supply refined during Voodoo server development. Synergistic Research states these changes deliver an expanded soundstage, enhanced resolution, and improved tonal accuracy compared to the original UEF Ethernet Switch, with more authoritative bass and airy, precise treble extension. A direct connection port lets you star-ground the switch to an SR Ground Block for a further reduction in noise floor. As an authorized Synergistic Research dealer in Toronto, Canada, Vinyl Sound can help you integrate this switch into your network audio system.
Key Features
- Next-generation Electromagnetic Cells (EM Cells) for AC and digital signal-path noise filtration
- Ultra Low Frequency (ULF) Biasing system, replacing high-frequency noise with Schumann Resonance harmonics
- Refined linear power supply (LPS), developed alongside the Voodoo server
- Direct connection port for star-grounding to an SR Ground Block
ULF Biasing
Ultra Low Frequency Biasing is new to the MkII and absent from the first-generation switch. It replaces high-frequency noise with harmonics of the Earth's Schumann Resonance, which pass through the EM Cells unaltered — extending beyond the first-order noise reduction of the original switch to enhance overall system musicality.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the original UEF Ethernet Switch?
MkII uses next-generation EM Cells (the first re-engineering of the technology since the original patent), adds ULF Biasing (not present on the first generation), and uses a refined linear power supply derived from the Voodoo server, for a lower noise floor and improved resolution over the original switch.
Can I ground this switch to reduce noise further?
Yes. The Ethernet Switch UEF MkII has a direct connection port for star-grounding to an SR Ground Block.
