Synergistic Research Atmosphere SX Reference REL Spec Subwoofer Cable
Reference REL Spec is the flagship tier above the standard REL Spec Subwoofer Cable, purpose-built for REL subwoofers' proprietary Speakon connection. It uses 4th-generation Tricon Silver Matrix geometry plus pure handmade silver Air String geometries with Teflon dielectrics, and the two-stage high-voltage treatment process developed for Synergistic Research's flagship Galileo SX cables. Unlike the standard REL Spec cable, Reference REL Spec ships with Atmosphere SX Tuning Modules to voice the cable to your system, and its shield can be connected to a Synergistic Research Ground Block or Active Ground Block for further performance. An Umbilical cable is also available separately for daisy-chaining one REL subwoofer to another. Reference REL Spec ships with both Gold and Silver Atmosphere SX Tuning Bullets:
- Gold — warmer sound with liquidity, at the expense of some pinpoint spatial detail
- Silver — detailed and dynamic with pinpoint focus, at the expense of some liquidity

How does this compare to the standard REL Spec cable?
The standard REL Spec cable doesn't include tuning modules or a Ground Block connection. Reference REL Spec adds Gold and Silver Atmosphere SX Tuning Modules and an optional Ground Block connection, plus a higher shielding tier (Level 4 vs. Level 2).
What's the Umbilical cable for?
It's used to daisy-chain one REL subwoofer to another, sold separately from the main Reference REL Spec cable.
