The SRX XL is Synergistic Research's scaled-up evolution of the SRX power cord, adding two additional pure silver 14-gauge high-current geometries and two additional pure silver AirString geometries to the original SRX design. It's positioned as a benchmark AC cable across the full range of components, from low-to-moderate current draw (preamps, DACs) to high-current draw (power amplifiers, PowerCell line conditioners), while retaining enough flexibility to route in tight spaces. It includes an Active Electromagnetic Cell and a pure silver UEF Ground Plane that can be connected to a Synergistic Research Active Ground Block for a further noise-floor reduction. Tuning Modules

Each SRX XL ships with a Gold and a Silver carbon fibre UEF Tuning Module. After letting the cable settle in for 48–72 hours, compare the two on a cable-by-cable basis:

• Gold — warmer, more liquid balance; also open and transparent
• Silver — more extended and detailed

Which sounds more neutral is system-dependent — most owners find one color works best across most of their loom, with a few cables performing better with the alternate option.
