Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the Technics EAH-A800 headphones?
A: The Technics EAH-A800 are premium noise cancelling over-ear headphones featuring a 40 mm three-layer PEEK/Polyurethane driver, dual hybrid feedforward and feedback active noise cancellation with analogue and digital processing, and an eight-microphone array with spatial filtering for superior call clarity. They are designed for home listening, remote work, and travel.

Q: What type of noise cancellation does the EAH-A800 use?
A: The EAH-A800 uses a dual hybrid system combining feedforward and feedback active noise cancellation with both analogue and digital processing. Feedforward microphones face outward to detect incoming noise before it reaches the ear, while feedback microphones monitor and correct residual noise inside the ear cup. Running both in parallel covers a wider frequency range than single-type ANC systems.

Q: How many microphones does the Technics EAH-A800 have?
A: The EAH-A800 has eight microphones in total. Four are dedicated to voice pickup during calls, using spatial filtering technology to isolate the user's voice and suppress background and wind noise. The remaining microphones support the active noise cancellation system.

Q: What makes the EAH-A800 driver special?
A: The 40 mm driver uses a three-layer diaphragm combining PEEK and polyurethane materials. PEEK provides the rigidity needed for accurate high-frequency reproduction, while polyurethane adds damping to control bass resonance. This combination produces a wide, immersive soundstage with rich bass and fine detail retrieval across the full frequency range.

Q: Are the Technics EAH-A800 comfortable for extended listening?
A: Yes. The EAH-A800 is designed with ultra-soft ear cushions that distribute pressure evenly around the ear and a headband engineered to reduce clamping pressure across the entire head rather than concentrating it at a single point, making them suitable for long listening and work sessions.

Q: Where can I buy the Technics EAH-A800 in Toronto or Canada?
