Synergistic Research MiG SRX
MiG SRX (Mechanical Interface Ground) is Synergistic Research's latest component isolation footer, building on the 2008 original MiG and the MiG SX. Unlike a uniform forged dome, each MiG SRX uses a precision CNC-machined resonator with varied wall thickness, designed to manage how mechanical energy propagates through the footer rather than simply absorbing it. A set of three includes three distinct UEF Metamaterial formulations — Footer Alpha (soundstage density), Footer Beta (low-frequency impact), and Footer Gamma (high-frequency air and extension) — rather than one universal material. MiG SRX is also voiced to the same ULF bias frequency used across Synergistic Research's FEQ Carbon and other field-generating products. Two orientations offer different tuning: two footers "round side down" with one "round side up" for a focused, articulate presentation, or the reverse for a larger, more liquid presentation. As an authorized Synergistic Research dealer in Toronto, Canada, Vinyl Sound can help you choose the right orientation for your component.
Key Features
- CNC-machined, variable-wall-thickness resonator (vs. the uniform dome of the earlier MiG SX)
- Triad of 3 distinct UEF Metamaterial formulations per set of 3 (Alpha, Beta, Gamma)
- Voiced to the same ULF bias used across FEQ Carbon and other Synergistic Research field products
- Dual tuning orientations: Pinpoint (focus/articulation) or Ambient (scale/liquidity)
- Sold as a set of 3
- 30-day money-back guarantee
Orientation Guide
- Pinpoint (2 round-side-down, 1 round-side-up) — sharper soundstage focus, tighter bass; best for digital streamers, PowerCells, and solid-state gear
- Ambient (2 round-side-up, 1 round-side-down) — expansive, layered soundstage with a warmer, more liquid presentation; best for DACs, phono stages, and tube-adjacent tastes

MiG SRX FAQ
How is MiG SRX different from MiG SX?
MiG SX uses a uniform forged dome and a single universal UEF layer. MiG SRX uses a variable-wall CNC-machined resonator and a triad of 3 distinct metamaterial formulations, and is voiced for ELF/ULF field integration with FEQ Carbon and other field products.
Which orientation should I use?
Pinpoint for digital streamers, PowerCells, and solid-state gear where focus matters most. Ambient for DACs, phono stages, or when you want a warmer, more liquid presentation.
How does MiG SRX compare to MiG 4.0?
Both use the same variable-wall CNC-machined resonator concept. MiG SRX adds three distinct UEF Metamaterial formulations (one per footer) for a further step up; MiG 4.0 is the more accessible option.
