The Voodoo is Synergistic Research's flagship Roon-based music streaming server, built around the same Electromagnetic Cell technology developed for the company's PowerCell line conditioners and Active Ground Blocks, applied here to the server's internal DC power supply and computing circuitry to reduce noise. Its motherboard, CPU, and RAM were selected through blind listening comparisons rather than spec sheet alone, paired with a linear power supply (LPS) also using EM Cell technology, and a tunable ULF bias circuit adapted from the Galileo PowerCell line. For the highest performance, two Voodoo units can be configured together — one as Roon Core, one as Bridge — so each server focuses on a single task. Internal storage is available in 500GB, 2TB, or 8TB capacities, with external NAS or USB SSD storage recommended for best results. Voodoo ships with a 5ft Atmosphere SX Euphoria power cable, an SR Master Fuse, and MiG 4.0 isolation footers included. ULF Bias Settings

• Blue (default) — a laid-back midrange with a linear transition from low to high frequencies, for a large, enveloping soundstage
• Green — a slightly more forward midrange with added bass emphasis
• Red — recommended for recordings with significant phase information or holographic soundstaging, including electronic, hip-hop, and some large-scale classical recordings
• Off — disables the ULF generator entirely

What digital outputs are available on the Voodoo?
Two USB input/output ports — one connects to your DAC, the other can be used for external storage. If your DAC doesn't accept USB, an external USB-to-AES interface is recommended.

What's the recommended file storage method?
For the highest performance, Synergistic Research recommends storing music files externally on a NAS drive or an external SSD through one of the Voodoo's USB ports, rather than relying solely on internal storage.

What internal storage sizes are available?

Can I pair a Voodoo with a Quark?
Yes. A common configuration uses the Voodoo as the Roon Core Server and a Quark as the Roon endpoint — or two Voodoos can be paired as a dedicated Core and Bridge.

Is Roon the only supported interface?
Yes. The Voodoo is designed to run Roon exclusively, and a Roon account is required.
