Hegel H200 Integrated Amplifier
The Hegel H200 is built for listeners who want a connected amplifier with the power, control, and intelligence to bring the whole system together. Known as "The Connected," the H200 is an integrated amplifier with streaming, a DAC, an MM phono input, a headphone output, USB drive playback, and 150 watts of output power per channel — the streaming-equipped sibling to the fully analog A200. Every part of the H200 is made to work together, with the amplifier at the center and the music as the priority. As an authorized Hegel dealer in Toronto, Canada, Vinyl Sound can help you build a complete streaming system around the H200.
Built on Control
At the heart of the H200 is a 150W Class A/B analog amplifier section using Hegel's SoundEngine2 technology, which detects distortion where it occurs and cancels it before it can travel further through the signal path. Combined with stability down to 2-ohm loads and a damping factor of more than 4000, the H200 keeps low-frequency energy tightly controlled, giving bass notes precise starts and stops and a clear presentation even with demanding loudspeaker loads.
Digital Done Properly
The H200 features a high-performance DAC supporting digital sources through coaxial, optical, USB-B, USB-A, and network inputs. The USB-A input allows direct playback from USB drives with up to 10,000 songs, while the network connection opens the door to streaming platforms, internet radio, podcasts, and local music libraries. Because the amplifier, streamer, and DAC are all designed in-house, the H200 is built so digital music sounds as natural, detailed, and engaging as possible — with particular attention paid to keeping digital switching noise away from the sensitive analog amplification stages, through careful layout, grounding, signal routing, and separate circuit boards for key digital components.
Streaming Without the Lock-In
The H200 supports Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Roon Ready, letting you play music directly from the apps and devices you already use. The Hegel Control app adds input selection, volume control, playback commands, airable internet radio and podcasts, and browsing of music libraries through UPnP and the USB drive input.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the H200 different from the A200?
Both share the same 150W SoundEngine2 amplifier section, damping factor, and MM phono input. The H200 adds a full DAC, network streaming (Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready), USB drive playback, and smart home integration, while the A200 stays fully analog with no digital inputs. Contact Vinyl Sound to help you choose the right route for your system.
Can I add an external DAC later?
Yes. The H200's coaxial digital output and DAC Loop feature let you send its digital signal to an external DAC down the line, while the H200 remains the central hub for source selection, streaming, volume control, and amplification.
Does the H200 work with Spotify, TIDAL, and Qobuz?
Yes. The H200 supports Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Roon Ready, so you can stream directly from the apps you already use without a proprietary ecosystem.
