JBL 4369 2-Way Floorstanding Studio Monitor Loudspeaker
Designed and engineered at JBL's world-renowned acoustic facility in Northridge, California, the JBL 4369 is the flagship of the Studio Monitor Series. This 2-way, high-performance studio monitor delivers exceptional sonic accuracy and dynamic range, making it a top choice for discerning audiophiles and professionals alike. Available now at Vinyl Sound Canada.
15-inch Differential Drive woofer
At its core is a newly developed 2219Nd 15-inch cast-aluminium-frame woofer with JBL's patented Differential Drive technology, dual 3-inch voice coils, and a neodymium motor. A pure pulp cone paired with copper cap and Faraday rings reduces AC inductance, lowers distortion, and enhances midrange clarity. The motor is FEA-optimised for up to 50% greater excursion, dual opposing spiders cancel non-linearities at high excursion, and a new cast-aluminium frame adds venting and rigidity. Dual front-firing ports boost bass output and efficiency, smooth the response at high volume, and allow flexible placement, even near walls.
D2830B dual-diaphragm compression driver
For upper-mid and high frequencies, the 4369 uses the patented D2830B compression driver: a 3-inch dual-diaphragm, dual-voice-coil, dual-neodymium-motor design on an upgraded Sonoglass High-Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide. The twin ultra-light Teonex diaphragms extend and smooth HF response, improve efficiency, and double power handling with lower distortion. The driver is positioned at ear level for on-axis high-frequency reproduction, with HF and UHF controls allowing precise -1 to +1 dB adjustment in 0.5 dB steps.
Audiophile crossover and inert cabinet
JBL's MultiCap crossover replaces large capacitors with many smaller ones for lower ESR, greater signal throughput, higher power handling, and ultra-low distortion. The classic Studio Monitor-style cabinet uses 1-inch MDF walls (1 5/8-inch at the lower front baffle) with two bracing panels for minimal resonance, finished in furniture-grade Walnut or Black Walnut veneer. Dual gold-plated five-way binding posts support single-ended or bi-wire/bi-amp connection, and precision-machined stainless IsoAcoustics feet reduce floor reflections for cleaner, more accurate sound.

Frequently asked questions
What is the JBL 4369?
The JBL 4369 is the flagship 2-way floorstanding studio monitor in JBL's Studio Monitor Series, designed in Northridge, California. It pairs a 15-inch 2219Nd Differential Drive woofer with a D2830B dual-diaphragm compression driver on an HDI waveguide, in a furniture-grade walnut cabinet, for reference accuracy and dynamics.
Is the JBL 4369 sold individually or as a pair?
The JBL 4369 is sold individually (each). For a stereo system you will need two, one for the left and one for the right channel.
What amplifier does the JBL 4369 need?
With 93 dB sensitivity and a 6-ohm nominal impedance, the 4369 is relatively easy to drive and accepts up to 350 watts RMS. Its dual binding posts also allow bi-wiring or bi-amping. Vinyl Sound Canada can recommend a matching amplifier.
Can I adjust the sound to my room?
Yes. The 4369 has HF and UHF level controls that adjust from -1 to +1 dB in 0.5 dB steps, with HF covering roughly 1.5 to 6 kHz and UHF above 5 kHz, so you can tune the treble balance to your room and taste.
Why does the 4369 use front-firing ports?
The dual front-firing ports increase bass output and efficiency, smooth the response at higher volumes, and allow more flexible placement, including closer to walls, without the boominess a rear port can cause in tight positions.
