Klipsch RP-1400CSW 14-Inch Reference Premiere Subwoofer
The Klipsch RP-1400CSW is a powered subwoofer from the Reference Premiere line, built to deliver powerful, deeply extended bass in home theatre or stereo systems that need a solid low-frequency foundation. It pairs a 14-inch Ultra Long Throw Cerametallic driver with a 500W RMS Class D amplifier and a front-firing Aerofoil port, balancing amplifier power, driver capability, and cabinet volume for deep extension, high output, and precise control. Available now at Vinyl Sound Canada.
14-inch Ultra Long Throw Cerametallic driver
The RP-1400CSW is driven by a front-firing 14-inch Ultra Long Throw Cerametallic woofer. The lightweight, highly rigid Cerametallic diaphragm is designed to minimise cone breakup and reduce distortion at high output levels, even during the driver's longest excursions, for clean and powerful low bass.
Class D amplifier with analog preamp
The built-in high-efficiency Class D amplifier uses an analog preamplifier stage to preserve the original signal path for clean, high-fidelity reproduction. It delivers 500 watts RMS and 1000 watts peak, with a frequency response of 16 to 141 Hz plus/minus 3 dB and a maximum output of 124 dB for effortless, room-filling bass.
Bass-reflex design with front-firing Aerofoil port
The MDF enclosure uses a bass-reflex design with a front-firing slotted Aerofoil port, whose proprietary internal geometry reduces turbulence and port noise during low-frequency reproduction. The front-firing layout allows more predictable, flexible placement in your room.
Flexible connectivity and controls
Dual line-level / LFE RCA inputs connect the RP-1400CSW to a home theatre receiver or any electronics with a subwoofer output, and a WA-2 port supports the optional Klipsch WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit for flexible placement without running a long signal cable. The wired and wireless inputs can be used at the same time, so a single subwoofer can serve multiple systems in one room. A low-pass filter and variable phase control tune the bass to your speakers and room, and a 1/2-watt standby mode keeps energy use low.
Premium design
The MDF cabinet is finished in a scratch-resistant ebony vinyl wrap. Rounded corners, vibration-damping rubber feet, steel grille posts, and a woven fabric grille complete a cohesive, premium look and feel.

Frequently asked questions
How deep does the Klipsch RP-1400CSW go?
The RP-1400CSW has a frequency response of 16 to 141 Hz plus/minus 3 dB and a maximum output of 124 dB. Its 14-inch Ultra Long Throw Cerametallic driver and 500W RMS Class D amplifier deliver very deep, high-output bass for large rooms and demanding home theatre.
What is the difference between the RP-1400CSW and the RP-1200CSW?
Both are Reference Premiere subwoofers with Class D amplification and an Aerofoil port. The RP-1400CSW uses a larger 14-inch driver with a 500W RMS / 1000W peak amplifier, reaching down to 16 Hz at 124 dB, while the RP-1200CSW uses a 12-inch driver with a 400W RMS / 800W peak amplifier to 17 Hz at 121 dB. Choose the RP-1400CSW for the largest rooms and maximum output.
Does the RP-1400CSW have an LFE input, and is the WA-2 wireless kit included?
Yes, it has dual RCA / LFE line-level inputs to connect to the subwoofer or LFE output of a receiver. It is compatible with the Klipsch WA-2 Wireless Subwoofer Kit, but that kit is sold separately.
Can I use the RCA and wireless inputs at the same time?
Yes. The RCA input and the wireless input can be used simultaneously, so you can run one subwoofer with more than one system in the same room without switching inputs.
